Madison Deppe is a versatile flautist based in Hamilton, Ontario, performing in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings across the province. She is principal flute and coach for Sinfonia Ancaster, and freelances with orchestras in Niagara, Guelph, Oakville, Stratford, Milton, Sudbury, and Georgian Bay, and collaborates with the Hamilton City Ballet and various choruses in Georgetown, Woodstock, and Brantford.
In addition to orchestral work, Madison is passionate about chamber music and co-leads Duo Petrichor (flute & guitar), bringing lively performances to libraries, galleries, schools, house concerts, and chamber series. She has a deep appreciation for early music and enjoys performing on the baroque flute. Madison's also spent multiple seasons as a piccolo player on Parliament Hill as a member of the Canadian Forces.
A passionate educator, Madison teaches flute at Redeemer University and will soon be joining the faculty at Laureate College to launch their elementary music program. She is frequently invited as a guest clinician to schools and camps across Ontario, including Summer Music Camp in Port Elgin. She maintains a busy private studio of students who continue to win auditions, place highly in RCM exams, and take home gold medals at local music festivals.
Madison holds a degree in Flute Performance from Western University, where she studied under Anne Thompson, and plays on a custom-made gold, silver, and platinum Haynes flute.
When she's not performing or teaching, Madison loves reading, learning new languages, gardening, and training for triathlons. She’s passionate about fostering a love for music in young people and continues to explore ways to share music with her community.
